21.2.12 - Boardwalk repairs confirmed date: Saturday 24th March 2012 at 10am. Contractors started work in the woods (paths etc) and will take approximately 8 weeks.
31.1.12 - Grace Landscapes will be commencing work on the plantation shortly with an expected completion date of April 2012. Volunteers required to assist with boardwalk improvements on Saturday 25.2.12 (date will be confirmed nearer the time) - everyone welcome to come and join in with this community activity.
17.1.12 - Unfortunately the meeting scheduled for 17.1.12 had to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. We propose to meet again 31.1.12. We also propose to hold an AGM shortly, date to be confirmed. Annual subscriptions are now due for the year 2012 (£3 per annum per person). Subscribed members have voting rights.
21.12.11 - New Year, new you? We are looking to secure a healthy living program for the New Year, which will be held in the Admin Buildings. The program will be run by the NHS and is dependant on the number of people who are interested in attending. We will visit residents soon to get their views.
6.12.11 - Would you be interested in helping to repair boardwalks in the woods? Volunteers required. Task day dates to be confirmed at the next FOAP meeting 17th January 2012 and will be advertised on this website.
8.11.11 - Pleased to announce that FOAP have been successful in obtaining a grant from the Community Spaces (Awarding funds from the National Lottery), which will be used to complete work as per the proposed site plan. Work will commence January 2012.

17.4.11 – Kevin Bushell (Ranger) has a number of bird boxes available for locating in Acornfield Plantation – if you would like to be involved and have your own bird box, then please call Kevin on 07810 054159
The tree planting event was carried out by approximately 20 residents along with Neil McMahon from BTCV. The day was a great success and we planted 175 trees (Oak, birch, cherry etc). We were also joined by some local children of all ages, and some have even marked the place where they have planted a tree.
FOAP would like to say a big thank you to everyone who participated.
